Kennebec Marine Services is a full service marine construction company

We build traditional Maine piers, ramps, and floats. We offer seasonal launching and hauling of your floats and ramps. We also service and install moorings, install shoreland access trails, walkways and stairs. We can assist in tree cutting along your shore front as well as shoreland stabilization.

Piers

More Info
We build traditional Maine piers. They’re constructed with severe service pressure treated lumber and galvanized hardware, fasteners, and tie downs. We provide options to add cedar, mahogany or PVC decking and railings. We can also build custom metal railings.

Ramps

More Info
We build custom aluminum framed single and double trussed ramps with cedar decking. We have options to add either cedar, mahogany, or PVC decking.

Floats

More Info
We build a traditional Maine float constructed of severe service pressure treated lumber, cedar, or composite decking. Our floats are built using foam billets, typically ride close to the water, and are extremely stable and sturdy. All framing connections are through bolted to ensure our floats hold up to any conditions. We also offer tub flotation.

Seasonal Services

More Info
We offer seasonal launching and hauling of your floats and ramps. We also have off site storage available if your float can not be stored on your property. We currently service 300 clients a season and plan to add capacity to take on new clients.

WATER ACCESS TRAILS, & STAIRWAYS

Kennebec Marine Services can assist you from initial concept and permitting to design of your shoreland access trails, stairs, and walkways.

We can build your standard shoreland access trails using wood chips. If the grade is steep we can add stone or wooden stairs.

If your property is extremely steep, we can construct a series of wooden walkways and stairs to access your resource.

INSPECTING & REPAIRING PIERS

We now offer inspections and repairs of your entire pier system. At low tide we can come to your property and inspect:

  • your piers for damage
  • the anchoring and tie backs of the pier, float, and ramp
  • the integrity of all decking surfaces and handrails

Once our inspection is complete, we can either make repairs on the spot or provide you with a quote and return at a later date to make the needed repairs.

MOORING SERVICES

Setting of New Moorings
We can set all types of moorings, up to 6000 pounds in the New Meadows, Kennebec, Sheepscot and Sasanoa Rivers.

Haul, Clean, and Inspection of Moorings ($175)
With more boaters in the water more towns are requiring frequent inspections of moorings. We offer the complete lift, cleaning and full inspection of mooring and all components and provide a complete report needed for the municipality in which the mooring is located. Repairs and replacement of parts are billed separately.

Repairs
We are happy to haul the mooring and repair any components of the mooring that are in need of replacement due to age or environment. Repairs are billed as time and materials used.

Seasonal Service
$75 each Spring and Fall to change out mooring markers. We can sell new winter sticks, and mooring balls if needed.

Additional Services

PIER, FLOAT AND BOAT ACCESSORIES

Kennebec Marine Services also offers custom float and pier accessories. We carry kayak and paddle board landing platforms, swim platforms, swim ladders, and wet bike docks.

OTHER SHORELAND SERVICES

Kennebec Marine Services can also assist you in tree cutting along your shore front as well as shoreland stabilization if your having shoreline erosion issues. We can also assist with landscaping.
