A Letter from the New Owners
We would like to take a moment and introduce ourselves.
Derek Dudzic Lives in West Bath with his wife Kathleen. For 21 years they have owned and operated their company, Premium H2O Plumbing and Heating. Over those 21 years the business has grown, adding a new shop and a expanding their team of 10, many of whom are master plumbers, oil technicians and natural/ propane technicians. Derek and his wife Kathleen work as a team to manage their company. They realized that they needed to have a great staff in place. Along with Bill Poulin, their working supervisor, they can handle multiple projects and service work at the same time!
David Chartier lives in Woolwich, and for 20 years has operated his company Chartier Building and Remodeling. Over the last 20 years he has grown his business to the point that he built a shop/office in Georgetown and currently employs a team of 14. Together with his wife Ginger and son Nathan they run and operate their company as a family-run business. Ginger is the office manager and Nathan runs the day to day construction, he also has an excellent team of carpenters with many stand-out crew leaders.
Together we hope to bring our energy and knowledge in managing small businesses to what Herb had created. We both have a love for our local water ways and enjoy spending time on the water. David brings an extensive background in construction and with the help of Herb, Mark, and others we are confident we will get up to speed quickly on this new adventure. We will be moving construction and the office to Derek’s shop at 14 Industrial Parkway in West Bath. This new facility will give us the space to build ramps and floats during the winter months so we are ready to deliver in the spring. We will also have a full-time office manager, Kalei, who will be answering phones and emails on a daily basis to better assist you. We also plan to train Cody to help us operate and manage this new venture.
We also plan to expand on the current services Kennebec Marine offers. We will be assisting with the construction of paths and walkways to your docks, shoreland tree cutting and stabilization if needed. We will offer pier, float and ramp inspections and repair services. Mooring installation and services, we have access to a diver and are working on having a new mooring boat built and ready for the 2022 season.
